WE HAD SOME SPECIAL GUESTS
Former Floorball Brandon standouts Jordy Stallard (Winnipeg Jets) and Tanner Kaspick (St. Louis Blues) joined the HIP division game on Tuesday July 19th. It was fitting that the game ended in a tie with both Jordy and Kaspy sniping a few goals and setting up a few just like the good old days.
floorball RESP SCHOLARSHIP
Dan Landry of Investors Group will issue a $500 scholarship to one lucky Floorball player at the end of the 2016 season. All you have to do is register in the form below and you will be automatically entered for the scholarship. The random draw will be made after the Peewee Finals in August.
One of the best ways to save for a child’s post-secondary education is through a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP). Whether you want to save for your own children, your grandchildren, a niece, nephew, or family friend, an RESP offers flexibility, tax-deferred investment growth and direct government assistance to help you save for a child’s education.
Interest income and investment growth earned within an RESP are not taxed as long as the funds remain in the plan.
The Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG) matches 20% on the first $2,500 contributed annually to a maximum of $500 a year ($7,200 overall) for a child under the age of 18, plus possible catch-up grants.
The scholarship is open to anyone who has registered for 2016. It's that simple.
